There are several channels you should use in order to get an overview of vacant positions in Norway. The EURAXESS Job portal is a good place to start, but you should also look for vacancies directly on the research institutions’ websites.
You should check all vacancies posted here on the EURAXESS portal as well as vacancies at the institutions themselves:
- Many vacancies are announced here on the EURAXESS portal, as are doctoral programmes, post-doctoral positions and long-term positions. You can apply directly for any position or post your CV online. See EURAXESS Norway Jobs & Funding (in the menu above) for vacancies.
Contact your own professional network as well as Norwegian alumni organisations. These may be helpful in your search for a researcher position, as you can learn about upcoming projects and potential new collaboration partners and get an idea of how your expertise may fit in.
Yes, contact institutions directly to get an overview of available vacancies.
- Run a bibliometric search using keywords of relevance for your field of interest + Norway to see which institutions have published relevant project results. Then contact the institutions and/or authors directly and ask them about their plans for upcoming projects and possibilities for your joining in.
